    Jennifer Fraley (Jennifer Tinberg) is a Lecturer of Music at Troy University, where she teaches class piano and applied clarinet lessons.  She holds a Doctorate in Clarinet Performance from Florida State University, a Masters in Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.  Her clarinet instructors include Jonathan Holden, Frank Kowalsky, Justin O’Dell, Richard Fletcher, and Jennifer Gerth.

Dr. Fraley has taught at the collegiate level previously as a graduate assistant at the Florida State University, as well as a chamber music coach and mentor to students at Michigan State University and University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.  She is frequently a faculty member with the Allegheny College Band Camp for Adult Musicians each summer, where she teaches daily masterclasses and serves as the ensemble E-flat clarinetist.  She has taught privately in Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, and Alabama as a clarinet/multiple woodwind instructor, and has had numerous students place in All-State ensembles or collegiate music programs.

An active performer, Dr. Fraley performs frequently as a soloist and ensemble member in the Southeast United States.  She is a section clarinetist with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and founding member of Sources Duo with percussionist Benjamin Fraley.  Recent projects include commissions of solo and chamber music featuring the E-flat clarinet.  She has been a performer in the  FSU New Music Ensemble series, International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest 2016 and Southeast Regional Conferences, Bang on a Can Summer Institute, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Make Music Nashville, Make Music New York, Collegiate Band Directors National Association conferences, and American Bandmasters Association conferences.  Dr. Fraley is a member of the International Clarinet Association, and has published articles in Ala Breve (Alabama Music Educators Association) as well as event reviews in the journal The Clarinet and the ICA online publications.

Jennifer Fraley is a Yamaha Performing Artist, and performs on Yamaha clarinets exclusively.
